I applied online. I interviewed at Railbookers Group in Feb 2025
Interview
I interviewed with Railbookers for an Account Executive role in February 2025. The interview process was fairly structured and consisted of multiple stages.
The first step was a basic computer knowledge assessment. After completing this, I was scheduled for an interview with an HR recruiter. During that conversation, I was asked to provide 2–3 professional references. The recruiter walked me through the role, daily responsibilities, and confirmed that the position was fully remote. Compensation was also discussed, including that Account Executives earn a minimum of $93,000 in their first year. The recruiter expressed positive feedback and indicated that I would be moving forward in the next step of the interview process.
The second interview was with a member of the sales team who was also an Account Executive. This stage focused on situational and behavioural questions, including how I would handle objections and overcome common sales challenges. I was asked about my sales process at my previous employer and participated in a role-play exercise where I conducted a mock discovery call with her acting as a prospective customer.
The final interview was with a sales manager who was making the final hiring decision. I was asked to review a recorded live sales call between a Railbookers sales rep and a potential customer. I was asked to provide feedback on what the rep did well and what could be improved. I shared that the rep did a great job clearly explaining the value and appeal of visiting Switzerland to someone who had never traveled there before. I also offered constructive feedback, noting that the rep may have benefited from being less aggressive in asking for a security deposit multiple times before ending the call, especially since the customer explained they were considering the package as a birthday gift for their husband and wanted to consult with him first before making a final decision.
Toward the end of the final interview, the sales manager appeared rushed and ended the call abruptly, with no time allotted for me at the end to ask any further questions.
Unfortunately, after completing the assessment and three rounds of interviews, I never received a follow-up email or final decision regarding whether I was offered the role or declined. I found the lack of communication disappointing and unprofessional, especially given the time and effort required throughout the interview process.

I applied online. I interviewed at Railbookers Group (Perth, Western Australia) in May 2025
Interview
I was sent an online assessment, passed that and went onto an initial screening with HR, was told it went every well and quickly progressed to an hour long interview including a role play. I loved the interviews, especially the first one with Chris who has great communication and made me even more excited about the opportunity. After the second interview I was told that I would hear back within 48 hours. I was told specifically that I would hear back even if I was not successful with reasons why. I gave it about 4 days before following up with both interviewers and had complete silence. It has now been over a month and I never heard anything at all. Very disappointing as I was and am very interested in the job and company. Sad to see so many reviews saying the same thing too, as it seems like such a wonderful company with wonderful people.
The first stage of the interview didnt take long and it was run by the recruiter. He shared more about the company and the job itself and asked about my availability for the next stage interview. Even tough ge said few times that I am great fit for this position and that he will send the invite for the next stage by the end of the working day, I haven't heard from him yet. Very unprofessional and time-wasting. He could say he will be in touch and let me know if I will get through to the next stage, instead of lying.
