I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Andover, MA) in Apr 2009
Interview
I received an email from one of the HR people responsible for talent acquisition, and she asked me if I was interested in applying for an internship. She told me to email her my resume if I was interested and she would circulate it among the hiring managers and would get in contact with me if any of them were interested. She contacted me the following day and told me somebody was interested and I should expect to receive a phone call later that week to set up an interview. I eventually did receive the call and a phone interview was set up for a few days later. I only received one phone interview before I received an offer, the offer came packaged in a UPS envelope about one week later and said my acceptance of the offer would be contingent upon passing a background check and drug test. The overall process was very professional and efficient and I was able to take care of everything that needed to be done without ever meeting face to face with any one from the company (the job was not in my home state so I didn't see anyone from the company until my first day of work). To sum it up I had a very smooth interview and hiring process.
I applied online. I interviewed at RTX (Penn, PA) in Dec 2022
Interview
Nice woman called me and asked me about myself mainly. By the end I asked her some questions. She was very enthusiastic about everything. She explained a lot more specifics about the role as well.
