I was interviewed for a Product Owner position at ROLI. Unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. I no longer believe the image about their company culture they are trying to put out.
I spent many many hours carefully constructing my CV, cover letter, answering the additional questionnaire, researching the company and their products in depth, preparing for the interview, etc, etc
They (ROLI interviewers) were late starting the interview, were unprepared/unorganised, hadn't bothered to access any supporting links requested of me at the application stage, spent a big part of the interview asking mundane & cliché questions, and did not give me any feedback after the process was done.
Before I attended the interview I was not sure whether I should believe the negative reviews on Glassdoor from former employees. However, my mind has changed.
I think I dodged a bullet here...
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at ROLI in Mar 2022
Interview
Great informal chat with three members of the team. Started with a brief overview of the history and development of the company before asking about my previous roles and experiences within the industry.
Completed a take-home task as part of the second round interview stage.
