Was interviewed by President, Oil and Gas RGE (based out of Singapore) was in an accountant and doesn’t understand the fundamentals on LNG. As always, arrived late and was constantly looking at emails on his phone during the interview. Given it’s an Asian company, HR was scared to say anything and was just referring to the President for any follow-up questions.
He said some things which showed he didn’t support D&I, female’s in leadership positions and was only focused on meeting project schedule.
They did not have the basic decency to explore my background and ask questions relevant to the interview. It’s not a surprise that wLNG is in trouble, behind schedule, over budget, very very high turnover and has lot of bad press and a disaster of a project.
I should have not interviewed when I heard that almost 5-10 project directors and project managers have been terminated for no fault of theirs. Poor leadership at the top and lack of competency in oil and gas needs to be assessed by the RGE owners group.
