The first thing that comes to mind about my experience at RG Brewton... bush league ....
Member of HR called me for a phone screen. We spoke about two different positions. I was invited in for a face to face interview but the recruiter never told me which of the two positions I was interviewing for and I could not get a hold of them again to find out.
Interview went well. Seemed like a nice small company. Had me take an online test later that evening dealing with patterns, shapes, and other pointless contradicting feelings and statements. I did well in my 5th grade geometry class so I assume I did great on the assessment.
Was called by the owner a couple days later to discuss "an offer". Compensation package sounded good but I had some other questions about the culture of the company that I had thought of after my initial interview that I hadn't asked about such as starting time. Since I would have to travel through some Pittsburgh tunnels and was a little worried about my commute.
The owner kept calling it an offer but I guess nothing was official and it was very confusing. I was expecting to get some literature about the benefits and an official offer in the mail or in an email. I told them the offer sounded good but I wanted some time to think about it. Owner said "that is fine I completely understand". 20 minutes later I received an email saying they had decided to move forward with other candidates.
