      Software Engineer Interview

      10 May 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Orem, UT
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at REDX (Orem, UT) in Apr 2017

      Interview

I met with two different engineering teams. The first interview was very in depth about differences between programming languages, how efficient each language is, and how languages affect the general speed of a program. We also talked about unix shell scripts and utilities. The second interview with the other team was much more casual. I was asked to design SQL tables, explain the Angular.js digest loop and its drawbacks, and explain general Object Oriented programming methods. The third interview was with the team lead of the second team and the CEO. This was a culture fit interview. It was very comfortable and was a great experience.

      Interview

The interview process was very straight forward and enjoyable at RedX. I never felt as though I was being led on, or given false promises. They answered my questions, and it felt like they were very transparent about the process.

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at REDX (Orem, UT) in Dec 2015

      Interview

I first met with Mark Leck, the CEO. He asked me about my personal life, about my family, and my interests. He then described the companies goals and core values and asked me if I felt like someone who had similar values. He asked about my experience and a few more questions. I then met with two of the team leads and they went further into the core values of the company and asked what I would do in certain situations. They told me that they would talk together and contact me. Overall I was with Mark for about half an hour, and the other two for about an hour.
