Was contacted on LinkedIn by a company recruiter, had a screening call, got positive feedback and moved to the interview stage. Met with 5 different people (45-minutes individual interviews), along 6 weeks, and the final step was a 45 minutes presentation on a product initiative I led (free choice). They wanted to see how as a Prod. Manager, the candidate's approach to the product development lifecycle and several other points.
1-day after the presentation I got a very generic "We're moving forward with other candidates". I then contacted the recruiter to ask for more specific feedback, and was told there was none, and the reason for not getting an offer was that there were 2 other candidates whose experience was more aligned with what they were looking for.
