It was mistake, to go for this interview after reading the reviews here. I was given an office address and was asked to go to another office at last minute. And the process concluded after the first round. They didnt want to proceed as I dont have Java proficiency.
My resume clearly states that I work in Microsoft technologies for past 5 years and the HR says the consultant did not share the resume with them :P rather the consultant just gave a summary to Quickr :)
Another note worthy point, I entered their office at 11:15am and the register says there were 3 other persons came for interview (all around 10am) and have already left their office...
Office environment is chaotic and noisy but I would still attribute to a startup-like environment. But are they running a startup in centre of the city? If they plan rightly they can setup an awesome environment else where in this software city.
Overall, I sensed their attitude towards No-Hire from beginning. I thank Quickr for closing this in the first round itself and not taking through more rounds.
The interview experience was bit bad. Surprisingly, the interviewer (a senior person as mentioned by the HR) didnt look at the problem from Design Perspective rather he was keen on my Java proficiency. When i explained my first draft, his expectation was totally different from the problem statement. He was expecting a Job pool instead of Thread pool.
A Job pool is a pool where publishers can queue their job for execution and it happens on its own pace.
A Thread pool is a pool where a bunch of threads are available for re-utilization within an application.
All he was expecting me to use Wait and Notify methods. If i dont, then i am not through.
Though i was in their office for an 1hr 15min, this round was just for 25minutes.
