I applied online. I interviewed at Qualtrics in Apr 2022

      Interview

I had 5 interviews with Qualtrics and they were all virtual. Below is the order of the interviews: - Recruiter Screen - Technical Screen - Hiring Manager Screen - 2 consecutive 30 minute interviews - 1 TACOS interview (30 minutes) Regarding the entire process, I felt that the technical screen was a complete waste of time because I was told the role has no coding involved in the day-to-day responsibilities of the role whatsoever. I enjoyed my conversation with the hiring manager the most and the interviews that followed that were asking me a lot of behavioral questions like “tell me about a time…” relating to project management/customer success stories. The TACOS interview was basically to see if you would be a “Cultural fit” within the role, similar to how Amazon does their behavioral interviews on their leadership principles. I did not feel that the interview process itself was difficult, but what is really disappointing is that I was supposed to receive a decision regarding if I would receive an offer or not and they never contacted me about what they decided on. It’s frustrating because I spent so much time going through the process just to be ghosted. If this is how they treat their candidates then I REALLY question whether or not they are truly living up to their core value “transparency”. It’s not that hard to send out an email with a decision but this is not the first time I’ve heard they ghost candidates.

There were 4 interviews. The first one was with the recruiter asking for basic information about previous roles. The second interview was with one senior team member, it was a behavioral interview to understand the way I work and how I handle multiple projecs and also previous experiences. The third one was a technical interview where I had to write a simple code in any coding language. The last one was with the recruiting manager, it was another behavioral interview, the questions were related with my previous experiences.

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Qualtrics (Salt Lake City, UT) in May 2022

      Interview

Entire process took about 4-5 weeks, which they told me up front. We're up front about salary expectations and interview processes. Here's an outline: Week 1: Recruiter call (30 mins) Week 2: Hiring Manger interview (30 minutes) Technical Interview (30 minutes) Week 3-4: Interview with adjacent teams (x2) -They asked things like "Give me an example of a time when you...." or "How do you handle dissatisfied clients," etc. TACOS Interview: Met with another Technology Consultant about culture and fit Week 5: Email saying they chose another candidate. It was a personal email to me from the recruiter. He said he wanted to stay in touch for when they do more hiring for the role. I asked for feedback and he gave me great and specific feedback over why the other candidate was chosen (they had experience with a very specific software they work with). Another position that was a good fit for me came up , and the recruiter from this role (TC) emailed the recruiter for that one saying I was a top candidate. Overall, pretty good experience. Communication could be a little better, there was a bit of lag time between interviews. Overall, I'm pleased with the experience.
