Senior Software Development Engineer In Test Interview

      8 Jul 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at QGenda

      Interview

There was a technical implementation (leetcode) question along with followups of considerations an SDET would have when testing this code. It was an easy level leetcode question and they assist with the process. There were several questions about my previous experience, things I would differently, my favorite projects, etc. There were several questions related to common SDET work and technologies such as testing in Selenium, debugging, etc that required a verbal description but no implementation. There was a very interesting non-technical logic question. While I marked the interview as easy, it is a truly thorough interview. It is only "easy" because the QGenda team does a much higher quality of interview than the average tech company making the interview process seem easier than normal. I only declined the offer because I received another offer that better aligned with my long-term goals. I think this is an excellent company to work at and they offer competitive pay as well as exceedingly over the top benefits.

      Question 1

Every question they asked, including the leetcode question, was incredibly fair and relevant to the career. As such, I don't wish to divulge their questions because anyone who is truly prepared for this position should be capable of answering them.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at QGenda in Dec 2022

      Interview

      1. Recruiter call with third party company. 2. CCAT (IQ) test. This is a first that I experienced this. 3. Hiring Manager call, talked about SDET practices, tools, etc. Then does a 180 and ask about data structures and algorithms instead of SDET frameworks like Selenium. 4. Interview with the team. (I did not make it to this step) Pros: fast at replying so time is not wasted. Cons: sounds like they want a Dev not an SDET. Also instead of CCAT, why not just give a take home coding assignment instead to show off coding skills instead of IQ test.

      Question 1

Given an string array of names, return the names with comma in between.
