I don't think the technical skills assessment from Q-Centrix accurately evaluated my skills. Some of the people I interviewed with seemed disinterested and disingenuous about their jobs as well as the company in general and gave me concerns about the culture, which seems bro-y. They seemed quite desperate to backfill their roles, and several employees blamed the departures on the pandemic, remote work, etc. which felt a bit obtuse since the pandemic has been going on for 2 years now. They seem intent on hiring remote workers, yet a lot of their engineers are based in San Diego and spoke highly about liking in person get-togethers with coworkers, which gave me concerns about being a fully remote employee.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Q-Centrix (San Diego, CA) in Jul 2019
Interview
Two interviews; each one is about an hours: there is the technical interview and behavioral interview. The technical interview consists algorithm and design questions. The behavioral one has many situational questions and giving examples are preferred.
