I felt the interview went smoothly on my end, and I was able to showcase my skills and thought process effectively. However, I also noticed some significant shortcomings in the interviewers’ preparedness and subject-matter expertise, which impacted the overall quality of the process. One of them (Mahindra is the name if I'm not mistaken) used a wrong example in a question.

Interview
There was a call with the manpower company, PS Tech, a couple of days before to check everything would work for the online interview. Then during the interview Ashghal senior staff acted aggressively and interviewed me as though I was being hired for a leadership role when it was only for that of a GIS Engineer. I should have realised what was really going on at this point, especially given this individual did not belong to the GIS Unit within Asset Affairs Drainage Networks, Operations and Maintenance Department but rather Asset Affairs. He was looking to push out the current leader by looking or a GIS Engineer willing to take on leadership functions.
I succeeded with this first interview and had a second one presenting about web mapping with a Stantec GIS Specialist and GIS Engineer within the Unit. Here I just told them how to publish a web map and managed Portal for ArcGIS services etc.

Selection is based on CV assesment by HR and Technical Personnel from the company. Time has been fixed by recruiting agency for interview. Face to face interview conducted by a pannel of different section to choose the suitability of the person in different sections.
