I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Public Profit in Mar 2024
Interview
Two rounds of face-to-face interviews, first one with an Associate and second with an Associate and Consultant team. Some of the questions: tell me about yourself and why this role, tell me about a time you worked with a team, tell me about how you approach hard things.
The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Public Profit (Berkeley, CA) in Dec 2020
Interview
Contacted fairly quickly after applying for an initial 30 min zoom interview. Fairly standard interview questions (describe your background, why you want to work there). Interviewer was very nice. ook a little over a week after that to get an email rejection, but it was from a person, not a bot.
I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Public Profit (Oakland, CA) in Jan 2018
Interview
There was an initial phone screening followed by a SPSS task, in-person interview, and a video chat with two other staff. The phone screening lasted about 30 minutes. I got an overview of Public Profit and the Research Assistant role and answered questions about why I was interested in applying and my experience with quantitative/qualitative research. For the SPSS task I was given an hour to complete a sequence of basic functions on SPSS. The in-person interview was with three other staff and lasted about an hour. We discussed my past work experience in research/evaluation. The video-chat involved follow-up questions on my experience working in teams and how I deal with conflict.
