A battery of test for a job that was going to pay 5USD/hour. I made it to the, "text interview", phase wherein, the CEO and COO were, apparently, in the group chat, but they never engaged with me or made their presence known. Waited almost two weeks before sending a request for an update. Got a cold response saying, they get a lot of requests and to wait. Shortly after, got the rejection email. Glad I went with another company wherein the interview process was straightforward, very low turnover of employees, and had good visibility on the web, and their company wasn't cloaked or shrouded in mystery, when you tried to look for more information on them. Wasted so much of my time and effort on the interview and application process on this company. I felt so beaten down and questioned why I even wanted a job that paid 5USD/hour, and chalked it up to sunk-cost fallacy. In the end, it felt unnecessarily laborious, tedious, and inconsiderate towards applicants. I've never had a company waste so much of my time and take that many tests, for a hiring process. They pride themselves in hiring .1% of applicants but I think they should.comsider the fact that they're letting a lot of people who could have done excellently at the job, because they need to maintain their hiring only .1% of applicants.
