I have all of the requirements according to the job description and I also have more relevant experience than all of the Senior Data Engineers I could find on LinkedIn that work at Protagona. However, they felt like my experience was not relevant after jerking me around for weeks. They have a different criteria for hiring people that is not based on merit!
I applied online. I interviewed at Protagona (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2024
Interview
call with recruiter
then the hiring manager call
then a technical interview(real-time assesment) and 1 more call after. I failed on technical interview. Process is like in other companies, I got a technical assessment which I failed.

Question 1
Technical assessment with AWS and Terraform. connecting to AWS and then trying to find the broken parts of Architecture. Find what is not working
Applied online, spoke to a recruiter. Went well, so got scheduled for an interview with their director, then a little "technical project"; followed by talking through the project with a lead and then an offer.

Question 1
Mostly just conversations around working with people and carer trajectory expectations/aspirations. The "technical project" was wasn't super difficult, basically an senior plays the role of the client, gives a little info on a hypothetical situation, shows you a broken pipeline and asks why its not working (again playing the part of a non-technical client)
