      Central Claims Representative Interview

      2 Nov 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance

      Interview

I was already an employee and applied for this position. The interview process is pretty much the same throughout you life with Progressive. First apply and current manager reviews and makes the decision if your application is moved on. This decision is based on your current position and how well you are doing. After that there are two interviews. Job was posted for around two weeks and then two weeks of interviewing. I was notified the following week after interviews were completed

      Central Claims Representative Interview

      11 Feb 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (Austin, TX) in Feb 2015

      Interview

I was referred by an employee, received the email and clicked the link to setup my candidate profile. I submitted my application for the job posting and the next day received an email saying I was selected to complete some assessments. I completed them and the follow day received an email saying I was selected for a phone interview. I scheduled my phone interview for later in the week (on a Friday) via the online scheduler. I reviewed the FAQ's on targeted selection questions before the call. The FAQ's suggested some questions but I don't recall one of them actually being asked. The lady who interviewed me was in my current line of work (not insurance) and spent half the conversation talking about how much she liked it and what it was like in her city, etc. She spent the other half of the conversation asking me questions/listening to my responses. I received an email the following Monday saying I was not selected to move forward. I asked her some questions about the job, including how long I would be expected to work a schedule requiring Mondays, Fridays, and either Saturday or Sunday, plus an additional week day....basically ---when do I get my weekends back. And she responded saying it would likely be more than a year and it doesn't happen to often because people of seniority prefer that schedule. She seemed peeved that I would ask and I'm not sure how much this had to do with my interview decision but figured it was worth mentioning.

      Question 1

Targeted selection questions - what did I know about the role of the job, why did I think I would be good at that..
