Interview
Just got out of college not knowing what am going to do but had to do something, so I went on career builder to see what was out there. I saw this ads that said no training or experience required so I looked a little deeper into the ads. I saw it saying we will train you on everything they do and provide constant mentorship and guidance, then I was sold so I applied, within 30 minutes I got a notification asking when am I available to sit with the Director or Operation, that was something I thought I was going to be referred to some HR person the interviewing process was so easy and straight forward so I accepted the position.

Interview
TLDR; This company has many red flags. Possible pyramid scheme/MLM/money scam.
I received an email from this company saying they reviewed my application and offered an interview. I had applied to a lot of jobs, so I assumed this was legit. My interview was scheduled for 10:00 the next day. During this interview, I talked to someone for a total of 8 minutes (well really, he talked, I listened. I tried to speak about my past experience and he cut me off, stating this was just a meeting to "put a face to the name.") He basically bragged about the company the entire 8 minutes, and honestly I still don't really know what I was interviewing for. He said someone would contact me to schedule a second interview where we would get more into an actual interview. I received an email after with a time two days later. There was no communication, ever asking if that time even worked for me. It just was what it was. So I moved my day around for the second interview. Before the interview, I tried to find the job I "applied" for and could not find anything at all with their company's name or the positions that are available on their website. During this, I sat waiting for a follow up email with a Zoom link or even some contact, and received nothing until 15 minutes after our scheduled interview time. They rescheduled my interview again for a different day! Thats when I knew enough was enough. I emailed their "HR" contact (who is listed as a third party recruiter on LinkedIn) and asked them to please stop contacting me. Some other details: all company reviews are posted by current employees. (Commission on how many 5 star reviews you can post?? Maybe) I only found one negative interview review on Glassdoor that explained a similar situation. Please be careful and do your research before wasting your time like I did!
Reviewer,
We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with our firm as we strive to ensure that all employees have a positive experience as much as possible. Although, we do understand that that is not always possible. In this instance we will definitely look into what occurred here, we are sorry that you felt misled through the interview process and were not communicated with. We will definitely look into the communication and scheduling on the part of management and human resources. As far as company reviews being written by employees we do have to mention that the point of reviews of a company is that they are written by the employees that are familiar with the company. Additionally, the comments you made just point to a need for more organization and processes none of them show that this is a "scam or MLM". We appreciate the feedback and wish you the best of luck on your search.
Proghress Senior Management
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Proghress (Roanoke, VA) in Feb 2020
Interview
It wasn't really an interview, but more so them telling me about the company. They did not really ask me any questions. I was allowed to ask a few, but it was 30 minutes of the interviewer bragging about the business structure. The interviewer (who was also the CEO and the president) was the only person in the office, and there were no signs of other employees, which was weird. This sounds like a Vector Marketing (MLM-ish) type company.
Dear Reviewer,
We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with us! We will definitely dive into what exactly happened here as this does not seem to be a typical experience. As far as MLM, Multi-Level Marketing firms require employees to pay for the products that they market. We do require employees to pay to work at our firm we pay them even for the initial training as well. We appreciate your feedback and wish you the best of luck on your search!
