I was sourced by a Talent Manager on LinkedIn and invited to connect and hear more. At the beginning of the call, he mentioned he had another call immediately afterward, and he brought it up again during the conversation. That made the interview feel somewhat rushed. The discussion was professional but focused primarily on evaluating my experience rather than explaining the company, team, or role. At the end, I was told the hiring manager would review my interview and approve next steps within a few days with his hr and leadership team, but I was never asked whether I was interested in moving forward. I would have appreciated a more two-way conversation and more insight into the opportunity and company culture.

Went well! Don’t have any complaints. Met an employee on the way out who was willing to answer all my questions about the company. The interviewers were very respectful and asked good questions while having great energy.

Interview
The interview process took about 1 month. I spoke with the recruiting team as a first step over the phone, then I had an interview with the VP of Sales over Zoom, then I was invited to the office to meet some more team members (Sales Managers, VP of Sales, HR). After that they had me provide them with three references, which were promptly completed. Then it took about a week and a half with multiple follow ups on my end checking in to see if there was an update. They ended up sending me the standard rejection letter with no feedback whatsoever. Disappointing after you've spent a month in the process. But here's the kicker. A different person in the recruiting department followed up with me to ask if I was still interested in the position. I was confused because they provided no insight as to what happened and why I was being contacted for the position again. Before I even got a chance to reply to that email, I received an auto-reject email, notifying me that they had gone with another candidate...I reached back out to the recruiter who had emailed me and asked what was going on. She told me that there was a mix-up on their end and that an error had been made in sending me a rejection letter. I finally agree to take the call. We speak for about 15 minutes over the phone. This was not an interview. I was given pertinent information about the role and I was led to believe that I had been offered the position and she was checking with me to make sure nothing had changed. Then I received an email less than 24 hours later notifying me once again that they had gone with another candidate. This interview process was the most disorganized, dysfunctional, disrespectful, unclear, and confusing experience I've ever had. There's clearly a disconnect within their team and this was about as embarrassing and unprofessional as it gets.
