Phone Interview. Recruiter called me on the day of my scheduled phone interview and informed me that there was already an offer out on this job but would call me back if the person did not accept. She informed me that there was another position similar to this one, "Prospect Researcher". I told her that was the position that I applied for. She double-checked my paperwork and acknowledged that she made a mistake. She was not prepared to interview me for that position and instead asked to call me back the next day at the same time. I said that would be okay. She called back the next day at the same time. We got through the first three or four questions and then she informed me that she wanted to end the interview. She said that she did not want to continue the interview and “waste my time” because I was not qualified. I was baffled. Had she even looked at my resume? Why call me if you do not think I have the appropriate skills for the job? This makes you look bad.
