I usually do really well with conversational interviews, but this interview style was so outdated. There were 5 people in the room and they each asked a question and wrote down the answer. I tried to initiate conversation but they literally did not give. Not even a little bit. Very awkward energy, almost as if they did not get along with each other or didn’t want to be there in the first place. I feel as though this is not the best way to assess candidates in modern times. If I could critique the interview staff, I would suggest conversational style interviews. More engagement.
