It was easy, informal, and disorganized. 3 steps and the last was onsite. There was one person clearly running everything that looked visibly stressed and the CEO was walking around yelling about this and that. Everyone else seemed very friendly but scared of him.

Interview
I had a 2 hour interview, half hour with the person whose role I was replacing, half hour with my manager, and an hour with the CEO. It was fairly challenging mainly since a small company needs to be diligent with who they bring in.

Interview
First step involved a standard phone screen with one of the tech leads. Second step was an onsite interview. Involved the tech lead and one of the lead devs, going through some leetcode questions. Afterward was a kind of behavioral interview with the CEO, which was not a good experience. Quite an uncomfortable interview with him, not friendly, felt like an interrogation.
