The interview process was broken down into 3 phases: phone screening, in-person interview with the director, and eventual team meeting. I was consistently told I was the top candidate, but the final candidate had all the "required experience, education, and certificates". Finally, the director reaffirmed that he would personally call me if another spot was available. I never got another call from the director, but I've heard about how the job was reposted from a recruiting agency firm. I applied to the position again, and I was never replied to by the director, Poppy, and the recruiting firm, which is contracted with Poppy, had told me that they wouldn't be able to represent me. After realizing it, I am a candidate who is transgender, young and dresses a little more "liberal" than the standards for a bank. Lastly, I am also a non-passing transgender woman. After the ghosting from Poppy Bank, I believe that my age and my gender identity had been used against in my life interview process.
