I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Pilot Flying J (South Houston, TX) in May 2010
Interview
Applied and two different locations and had several interviews at each locations but seemed to not be interested in my background which is very extensive in food and retail management. I felt as though it was because of the age difference and experience in me and the interviewers. They seemed intimidated by my experience and wanted someone less likely to be able to advance.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How many hours would I be willing to put in over the expected.
Talked to a recruiter, then interviewed with the regional manager, next was a store walkthrough, and finally interview with HR which in my opinion should have been the first step after the recruiter.

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Pilot Flying J (Southaven, MS)
Interview
They were very professional, asked a lot of personal questions. Was not honest about how much work you would really be doing and how understaffed the store is. Was not told that Pilot does not believe in having enough people working the over-night shift, and that if you work that shift you must do all the work of 5 people and still wait on customers. They wanted you to be honest and they did nothing but lie. (this was made clear once I started working there)
