I applied via Indeed a few days later I received an email inviting me to a first stage interview with the person overseeing recruitment. I agreed and entered my availability. The interview went ok but I did notice my interviewer was chewing gum throughout which is not something I'm used to. I went over all my experience and received short one word responses like good and ok. At one point during the interview I was asked how I felt about working for a small company to which I answered that, it wasnt a problem as i had previously worked for a small company before. At the end of the call I was told that they had other candidates to see and i hear back at the end of the week. At the end of the week I received a standard email telling i wouldnt be taken forward to the next stage with very little reference to my interview so, my feelings were right and that the interviewer wasn't really that interested
