The interview process is extensive. This is company that is "ahead of the curve" so far as healthcare goes, but way behind with communication. My experience has been exhausting. I had 6 interviews including the initial phone interview. I am in Texas and the position was in Florida. After a phone interview and a video interview I went to Florida(right before Irma) for a face to face. I was put off with the face to face for a day and had another video interview with management in Tampa and the Medical Director(MD) sat in. All the questions and answers are recorded. The next day I had another interview with the hiring manager-or so I was lead to believe. The interview went well and I am impressed with the company. I came back home during the evacuations from Florida to be told there would be another interview with the manager of the office I would be working in. That went well and we got along well. After the video meeting, the person that would be my manager extended the offer, stated how excited she was to have me on board. Stated when my first day and explained what that would entail. She stated they would email me that Friday afternoon or Monday with the formal letter. When I stated what I would like for a salary, I was told, "that should not be a problem." I then called a place to rent and sent the deposit and started packing. Monday evening I receive an email that the offer was rescinded because the MD was still interviewing and he chooses the candidate. At no time was this explained, I was told he liked to be involved. I, of course, thought that with the offer, the MD approved. Through a series of texts and calls, the hiring manager apologized. Now I am out the deposit and after accepting this position, turned down another job.
I understand process and if someone had been upfront about who does what, I would be fine with that and waited. I also understand "stuff happens", but this was an expensive mistake I made because I assumed(we all know what happens there) they knew what they were doing. Like I said, this was a company I would have loved to work for. I was just told after 5 days from the initial job offer that they chose another candidate. So beware, their communication is terrible.
