Interview
Very simple and easy questions. Asks if you have any experience working with animals. They give you a tour of the boarding facility and usually will hire on the spot.

Interview
I applied with my resume on indeed.com and got a call for an interview in about a week. I went in in jeans, converse, and a long sleeve shirt with a copy of my resume. She first took me on a quick tour of the facility and then we went to an office where she first asked if I had any questions for her (I had a few prepared). She then interviewed me and explained the job duties and the “leveling” system. Despite having 2 years of experience as an animal care team lead, having been trained extensively by animal behaviorists, and frequently handling aggressive dogs on approved handler lists, I still had to start out at a level one (just cleaning and feeding). She said people with previous experience usually take 3-6 months to become a level 3. Also despite my experience my pay was to start at $10/hr with opportunities for raises based on performance. I was offered the job on the spot, and I am allowed to show my tattoos and have my microdermal on my cheek, and unless they drug test after hiring, there is none.
