There were two rounds of one to one interview. Both interviewers were very nice. No pressure at all. They have already decided to hire you if you get the second round of interview.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Pearson in Feb 2009
Interview
First interview was a group test, which consists of questions which test your knowledge of English. Doing well for this initial part, I was called for a 1:1 second interview with the Senior Publisher. Run-of-the-mill interview questions were asked.

Question 1
Why do you want to be an Editor dealing with educational material
2 hr take home exercise followed by interview. Pearson needs to pay people for taking that exercise because they force you to take it at a set time during the work week, which is incredibly difficult if you still have a job you have to be at.
The interview process was smooth, professional, friendly. The Human Resource folks will take some time getting back to you with your offer letter and so on, which is a bit annoying if you're looking at other offers. Otherwise it went very well.
