      Executive Assistant Interview

      7 May 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Pearson

      Interview

I interviewed with Pearson for three different roles over the course of several months, beginning in November 2026, and unfortunately the hiring experience was extremely disappointing despite initially seeming very promising. I invested a significant amount of time and effort into the interview process and came highly recommended through a strong internal referral. During each interview cycle, I was repeatedly told that I was an excellent fit — even referred to as the “perfect candidate” for the roles. The interviews themselves were positive, engaging, and gave the impression that the company truly valued my experience and qualifications. One position I interviewed for in March was especially frustrating. I sent a professional thank-you email within 24 hours of the interview, followed by a second follow-up email a week later, yet I never received any response or acknowledgment. Despite being told during the interview process that I was the, “strongest candidate” for the role, I later noticed the same position reposted on LinkedIn while I was still waiting for an update. To this day, I still have not received a response or closure regarding that opportunity. The communication throughout the overall process was consistently poor and unprofessional. There were long periods of silence, lack of follow-up, delayed updates, and minimal transparency regarding timelines or decisions. After multiple rounds of interviews across three separate opportunities, the lack of communication became incredibly frustrating and discouraging, especially considering the level of preparation and commitment expected from candidates. What made the experience particularly disappointing was the disconnect between the positive feedback provided during interviews and the absence of basic professional courtesy afterward. Candidates deserve honest communication, timely updates, and respect for the time they invest in lengthy interview processes. I truly wanted to have a positive experience with Pearson because of the organization’s reputation and mission, but the hiring process left me feeling undervalued and misled. I hope improvements are made to candidate communication and hiring transparency moving forward.

      Interview

Absolutely abnormal, casual, use love bombing techniques, will completely mislead you, make you think the job is yours, and then ghost/reject. Not sure what their motives are , but extremely cruel

      Interview

Interviewed by member of department and then by the manager. The interview seemed very informal. There was enough time given to explain the role and the company.
