      This company is a walking red flag. I applied for this role online, completed the assessment and the initial recorded video interview. Within an hour of completing both criteria, I received an email to schedule a 15 minute phone interview. On the day of the phone interview, I sat by my phone about 20 to 30 minutes prior waiting for my interview time. At the time of the interview a few minutes had gone by and I had not received a phone call since I hadn’t received a phone call. I went and checked my email to see if maybe it was rescheduled canceled or if the hiring manager reached out to me to reschedule, but I didn’t receive anything. A few more minutes had gone by and then I received an email from the hiring manager, confirming my interest in the role. This led to immediate confusion as I was waiting for a phone call. I quickly replied and let them know that I was still interested in the role. A few minutes had gone by at this point it has passed my interview time and the hiring manager says that they tried to call me when they never did. As a candidate this is an immediate sign to run. As I am looking to break into a new field, I went ahead and rescheduled with that hiring manager for early the next morning the next morning rolls around my phone actually rings this time and I connect with the hiring manager and get some sob story of technology is weird and you know something happened with the technology. I’ve worked in call centers completely valid, but still not believable especially in the recruitment process. The phone interview wasn’t even necessarily an interview. Essentially the hiring manager learned a little bit more about my background and mentioned that my assessment was very strong and exactly what they were looking for, and not only that but my résumé and the skills that I brought to the table back that up. I was essentially given two options I could immediately jump into sales and obtain a license to sell for property and casualty or I could start from the very bottom and essentially cold call trying to get those leads converted to then speak with a licensed agent. I opted to start from the bottom as the hiring manager described. There would be more growth opportunities going that route and that was something on my radar. Something that was concerning is that going the entry-level route you weren’t necessarily going to be working as a peachy insurance representative directly you would be working with a company that they partner with I don’t recall what it is. It was like next call club or something along those lines and they were essentially going to train you how to do the job, etc. We reached at the end of our phone conversation, and the red flags were still waving as loud and proud as they possibly could however, I decided to go ahead and move forward with the second interview with a team lead. I was informed who I was going to be meeting with received the Google meet invite for that and to be on the lookout for a few emails to jumpstart the on boarding process. On the day of the interview, I received an email from the team lead, confirming my interest in the role and confirming our interview along with that confirmation. There was an attachment of a role-playing script upon reading that role-playing script. During my initial phone interview I had asked how peachy insurance sources, their leads and I was informed that they only have quality leads. They’re only going to call those who have spent a certain amount of time in putting their information for quotes, etc. However, the script that I read tells me that they don’t source quality leads, and you will be completely miserable if you accept that role. Back to that script that script alone tells anyone who is applying for the role in the recruitment process or is currently in the role that they don’t source quality leads. You will be miserable every single day and there’s going to be unrealistic expectations from the company itself. It was also very clear that they have a very high turnover rate for the specific role in ultimately, it did not feel like a sales development representative role, and that led to my decision to completely withdraw my application from the recruitment process and did not continue with that second and final interview. In my career, I have never had such an alarming experience with a company and their professionalism is just nonexistent. The entire recruitment process needs to be completely revamped as it is not doing any good for this company. Please do your research before you move forward with any interview with peachy insurance.
