I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Paytm (Noida) in Feb 2019
Interview
1st round was coding test on Mettl with 1 hour time limit. It had 2 questions. I cleared the first round and waited for 2 hours for the second round during which they served the candidates snacks and coffee which was a great gesture. Round 2 was F2F in which I was asked about my project and a few DS/Algo questions. I couldn't answer all of them. The HR let me know that my feedback wasn't positive and I was done.
Interview questions [6]
Question 1
Longest common subsequence of vowel between 2 strings
ex: str1 = abcytehi, str2 = avceyyui common subsequence of vowels = aei, lcs = 3
Reverse string with spaces, in place. If string is a palindrome, append and prepend $
ex: str1 = zebra bat ball, reversed : arbez tab llab
str2 = aba, reversed = $aba$
Good and nice as interview was smooth and up to the mark for the role demand. It could be a bit difficult if you are not into the concept and implementation to a good level. DSA is not the asked for the role they look actual problem solver.
I applied online. I interviewed at Paytm (Noida) in Feb 2026
Interview
3 round
2 technical round- basically on dsa and core cs subject so focus on dsa skills
1 hr round
After that if you clear all the round then you join the paytm
Interview process had three rounds, all focused on DSA with medium difficulty. First was an online coding round on HackerRank, testing data structures and algorithms knowledge.
This was followed by two technical rounds where I solved coding problems on Google Docs.
