      Business Development Representative (BDR) Interview

      22 Mar 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Sofia, Sofia (city)
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Payhawk (Sofia, Sofia (city))

      Interview

      1. Interview with an HR - Overall a good experience, around 20 minutes, there were questions that I would find redundant like "What do you like to do in your free time" and "Why would you not stay in the company that you are currently in" 2. Homework task - They send you a task that you need to completed in 24 hours, the task is not difficult, but it can be lenghtly if you want to complete it properly. 3. Interview with a manager - Interview with a manager was held in Payhawk's office, my interview was around 40 minutes in which most of the time I was talking about my prevoius experience, Payhawk's product and what I find interesting about it. The manager asked me to do an "elevator pitch" for about 30 seconds in which I need to roleplay persuading a potential client by presenting the company and the product, I asked to gather my toughts and maybe make a quick note for a minute or 2 just to use as a pinpoints during the pitch, which I was not allowed to do. Therefore, overall my pitch was not perfect. At the end of the interview the manager gave me a feedback that he is impressed with my knowledge and passion about the product. However, the next day I received a little nasty email which stated that "They are looking for someone who is more confident in high-pressure situations". From what I've heard some people who have applied in the past have been allowed to even use their laptops during the pitch, so it probably depends on mood of the person who is interviewing you or the current process of the company. Overall a good experience, despite the email feedback and the pitch.
