I applied online. I interviewed at Patterson & Sheridan (Houston, TX) in Apr 2026
Interview
It was a screening interview, a firm asked me about why did you interested about engineering and why did you choose to be an engineer.
The overall interview was very familiar, they tried to slow me down.
The interview was at a coffee shop. The interviewer asked about specific activities and experiences on my resume and asked me about my interest in P + S. It was probably about 20 or 25 minutes. Dress was business casual.

Interview
Drawn out interview process. First you pre-screen with a recruiter, thereafter the recruiter will be your point of contact but is totally non-responsive unless the next step is triggered. Which takes some time between steps.
This was during COVID times so all interviews were done over Zoom. There was an initial interview with a partner in one office which was great. There was a second interview with two partners in another office which I thought went well, although neither partner had their cameras on, which I thought was a bit odd. After the second interview was ghosted by the recruiter, made several follow up requests for a status update. Over a month later and still never heard back. Pretty disappointing that this far into an interview process that cannot even get a response that they have gone in another direction (or whatever happened).
