Interview
Wanted 5+ interviews (initial phone screening, 3 virtual 30-minute to hour-long interviews, and at least one in-person interview). I had to take PTO for each of the interviews. They told me after the 4th interview that they were hoping to narrow down to 3-4 candidates before the in-person interview. I ended up withdrawing before the final round because it didn't seem like they respected my time.
Everyone I spoke to was very nice and the job seemed like a good fit but I easily think the process could have been condensed into 3 interviews. Being asked to do 5 interviews to still be competing against at least 3 other candidates and with a somewhat high chance of not getting an offer seemed excessive and very disrespectful of the time and effort a candidate has to put into every interview.

Interview
Phone interview, two in-person interviews for which I needed to take half days from work. The interview process was pretty straightforward (although a little lengthy) and the people I met with were pleasant. I was then asked for references. I was then ghosted. I never heard back either way from the organization (this was years ago so I clearly didn't get the job). Given I had gone in to their office twice, I feel this was rather uncourteous & unacceptable. It takes 30 seconds to send an email. I would especially expect better consideration for people out of a non-profit.
