I applied and since I had previous knowledge and experience they hired me right away. I then went thru about 3 days of training which was paid. They brought me to the boardroom or meeting room that they have and I was interviewed by the stores owner. He was very nice and asked questions about my knowledge in the parts field as well as ones about customer relations. I was then brought to their HR office where I filled out all the necessary paper work and got to meet future co-workers. After that I went back to the meeting room and spoke with the manager. He basically asked questions in regards to my personal knowledge of general vehicle maintenance. I then got to go get some shirts (which they give you and don't make you pay for them).
