I found the position posted on LinkedIn and submitted my application within a day of the position being posted. It was a Saturday so I didn't expect anyone to reach out until after the weekend, but to my surprise one of the co-owners reached out to me the same day asking if we could meet up. I am very responsive on LinkedIn so I immediately responded that I lived out of town but that I could schedule any day that would work for them and I'd be prepared to be in the area.
I waited a few days and did not hear back from them, so I decided to reach back out to confirm if they had received my message. It was about a day later I got a response that they were planning their schedule and asked if we could do a phone interview to start. They offered me a call the same day at 3pm or the next day. I had an appointment already schedule for the current day so I shed to the next day at 3pm. The next day they responded back to my message and said we can't do tomorrow but could do the following day at 9:30am. When I got the message I found it a little odd because they suggested the 2 days but then responded that they couldn't do those days and suggested a 3rd day out, but I went with it and said, Sounds great look forward to speaking with you tomorrow at 9:30am. So here we are today the scheduled call day, I get up, make sure I have nothing scheduled for this morning, and was completely prepared for an interview with this company. 9:30am comes around and passes, I figure that they could be running a bit behind since in my job search not many people have called right at the scheduled time. At 9:36am I decided to reach out to the person that scheduled this with me on LinkedIn to confirm that they had my telephone number correctly. Its now 10:15am, no call, no response on LinkedIn. This has been a very disappointing experience all together and would have never thought the owner of a business would be so unorganized in their schedule and lack follow up to fill a position.
