It was a Zoom interview with the manager. They were so inexperienced that they kept glancing off-screen to read their list of questions. Some of those questions had zero bearing on the job. "What's your favorite store?" "Where do you see yourself in five years?" Really? Publishing is changing from month to month, how the hell can you plot a future when the landscape rapidly changes?
