      Interview

Interviewing with this company is a waste of time. They will likely lead you on to several rounds of the interview process, only to tell you that they are going in a different direction. I wish they would reject a candidate earlier if they can see that they are not who they are looking for.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pana (New York, NY) in Apr 2018

      Interview

This was the most bizarre interview process I've ever gone through. First you fill out a typical application which I did through a third party site. Then they send you a longer application that took over two hours to complete where you basically have to write essays. Then they e-mail you if they like your long application to set up a phone interview but no real instructions are given. During the phone interview, the interviewer pretends to be a client and you need to book them a trip. But you're expected to know how to do the job before you've even gotten the job or before anyone has really explained the role to you. I tried to prepare by looking on the website but it offered only a snapshot of the services and there was just no way to know what to do without at least a little training. After that role playing section they do a regular interview for about an hour on the phone and ask you more questions than I've ever been asked in an interview before. I appreciate them being thorough and wanting to find good candidates but the job is part time and it pays the same as some grocery cashier jobs. The interview process really needs to be streamlined so that people don't invest 5+ hours of their time.

      Interview

The interview process was long and arduous, however I felt that the questions they asked were interesting. As someone who has traveled a lot I know many nightmare situations and could see what they were looking for in the answers. The Skype interview was also interesting and I enjoyed talking with the interviewer. The questions were much easier than the written pre-screening ones and I felt like I had a good handle on the process. What was frustrating with Pana was that after this Skype interview I was told I would hear back by the end of the week whether or not I would continue on with the process. I never received any communication from them (even though I knew the interview went well) and was stonewalled when I tried to reach out to ask about my status. After 5 weeks and multiple emails sent politely asking for more information, I eventually just gave up on the company. I genuinely would have loved to work for Pana and felt that I was a great fit for the position. I was disappointed that after I had invested 4+ hours in their interview process they couldn't bother to tell me that I would no longer be considered.

      Question 1

John Doe flies from Westchester to Martha's Vineyard each weekend on a travel voucher program, normally flying back to Westchester on the 9am Monday morning flight. This weekend he is flying with his girlfriend, who he wants to travel with. He calls to tell you that he also has a meeting to attend at 9am on Monday so he would like their tickets to be changed to the 7am flight. You cancel his flight without checking to see if their are open seats on the earlier flight. Unfortunately there are no seats on this earlier flight, and his spot on the 9am flight has since been filled. Now John has no flight, his girlfriend is on a different travel schedule, and he will miss his meeting. What do you do?
