I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Palantir Technologies
Interview
It's hard to take Palantir seriously when its primary interview questions for a decently technical role are brainteasers and uninquiring questions. The recruiter asks a series of brainteasers on varying levels of difficulty. Fortunately, I happen to sit around memorizing them. Not really, but I do love brainteasers so onto the next step: an HR person from Palantir then schedules a phone interview with someone in the role.
The phone interview was very dry. This is where the uninquiring questions are from. For example, I was asked what superpower I would have if I could choose only one. The interviewer even said that people usually take a minute. Seriously though? I did not even hesitate and briefly explained my choice, but he did not probe further. It was kind of fun because I was testing the waters now. I was curious if they would dive deeper, as I did not see how the answer could have been something like a STAR-method response in the first place. Nothing.
Overall, the interview was barely about Palantir's work and I did not learn much that I didn't already know from reading the news. These questions neither reflected on experience nor competence as an employee, unless Palantir has plans to use people's imaginary superpowers. I did learn that salaries are capped and when busy, the hours are very long. Motivation for growth here already seems plateaued.

Question 1
If you could have any superpower, which would you choose? (Seriously.)
I'm thinking of a number from 1 to 1000. You can only ask yes or no questions to figure it out. What questions would you ask?

Interview
They really want to get to know you throughout the process, and see how you think about data in different ways and how you solve problems. You have to build a product which takes a long time.
Started with a quick review of my recent experiences and behavioral questions, and then jumped into a SQL interview. It was mostly a large code file which had a lot of bugs in it that had to be fixed.

Question 1
They asked my about a recent project I worked on at my recent experience and then asked follow up questions about implementation decisions for the project.

Interview
There were 3 stages:
1. Chat with a currently deployment strategist (20 min)
2. Onsite interview: consisted of a 45 minute technical comprehension portion and a 45 minute decomposition portion
3. Interview with hiring manager (30-60 min)
After passing a round, they were very quick to get back to me, usually same day or end of the next business day.
