The interview process felt really outdated and kind of over the top. I had to do three different Microsoft tests (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), a long case study, and then a panel interview that felt super stiff. No one really showed any personality or tried to connect, which was surprising for a communications role.
I put a lot of time and energy into everything, but in the end, I just got a generic rejection with no feedback at all. It honestly felt like the whole thing was more about checking boxes than actually getting to know the candidate.
Advice to candidates: Be ready for a process that’s long and kind of disconnected. If you’re looking for a place that feels modern and people-first, this might not be it.
Advice to the company: If you’re hiring for internal communications, maybe try showing some.
