Incredibly kind hiring manager.
We had a Zoom call, it was a pretty quick and standard interview, talking about the job, the products Owl Labs offers, your own work background, etc...
Then you get a short assessment to fill out on how you would handle mock support requests.
It was easy although I was out of town and had to wait 3 days before I could do it, so I believe by the time I filled it out they already had their desired candidates. I did feel as if I was an application they had to "process" and go through the normal interview steps even if they had no intentions of hiring me since the role was filled by then.
They appear to be a great company to work for, but the role unfortunately was a 6 month contract role, which negates probably most of the great benefits you're reading about here. Pay also could have been better, but a little carrot dangling stick was offered that if the job market is good enough, you prove yourself to be a good employee, etc... that you could get a full time employee offer. I don't think it's worth it, and I likely would have declined as I could be in the same spot looking for another job 6 months from now, but if you're able to work a contract and want to take a chance on maybe getting a full time gig with Owl Labs, definitely go for it. I do think Owl Labs is one of the better companies out there.
