      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ovintiv (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2010

      Interview

Contacted by recruiter that Encana had contracted with. Submitted resume after several phone conversations. I was then contacted by the Encana inside recruiter. She setup the interview process. I went to the Encana office and spent the full day interviewing. I met with 3 different groups ranging from coworkers to managers. Encana did a very thorough job of checking references. They had each reference do a phone interview with a rating process. I received an offer. I initially turned it down. But they kept calling me back until I accepted.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

None of the questions were difficult. They focused on experience. Why I was considering leaving my current employer. How do you handle or deal with coworkers. I felt it was a typical interview.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ovintiv (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2010

      Interview

Interviewed with several grooups of people. It lasted 3 hours including a lunch break. Met with managers during the first round. Then engineers and foreman in groups of 2. Only had one day of interviews without followups. People seemed to be exicited to be working for Encana. Work culture seemed to be as a team. Talked a lot about meeting coporate objectives. Seemed to be very cost driven. Previous employer has been volume driven.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They focus a lot on past achievments. Wanted to know about processes or methods put in place.
