      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Orbis Education (Lonetree, CO) in Feb 2020

      Interview

I want to say that I have never written a bad review for any company as I have never felt this passionate about a role. Orbis Education is the first. I wish I could tag the CEO to show the level of unprofessionalism at this company. I applied to Orbis Education online and got a email asking for an interview the next day. I did an in person interview which went well and then moved to the next steps to the call simulation. The call simulation went extremely well. I thought this was going to be the role for me. However, this is when things went downhill. I did not get an update email after the call simulation, so I email the recruiter who I have been in contact with from the beginning. She emailed me back and told me the team wanted to move forwards to the final video interview and asked for my availabilities. I gave her my availabilities for the next couple of days. She did not reply back. I was beginning to get worried. I email in the morning asking for an update of my status, yet still no response. Then I get an automatic message from HR rejecting me. This made me really confused as I have been asked to do a final video interview but was never followed up. I called HR to see if there was some kind of mistake and was sent directly to the voicemail of the recruiting manger in Denver. I called my recruiter manager, the one who I have been emailing back and forth with, to see if I can get some kind of answer. Again went to voicemail. I felt like I was being crazy. No one was giving me a clear answer. I finally followed up with one last email to be sure that it was not a mistake. The recruiting manager finally answers that yes they decided to move on with someone else. 1. If they wanted to reject me, they should have done so in the 3rd part of the interview. To tell me that they wanted to move forwards, and then not answer my email is very unprofessional and a waste of my time. 2. The recruiting manager did not even give me a personal rejection letter from her. Instead I got an automatic response from the company. I felt like if I made it this far, I should have gotten a better response from her. 3. Treat your candidate like they are valuable people too. I felt so disrespected and confused by what happened at the end that I was about to call HR and give them a piece of my mind. If you cannot respond to your candidates professionally, how do you expect to have students respect your company and your business? 4. If this is how you treat your candidates, I do not even want to know how your employees are being treated. I will never recommend anyone to work here at Orbis Education and I definitely will never recommend any students to go to your program. I am actually relieved that they did this before I worked for this company because this really shows your true color and their level of treatment to your candidates.

I first got called by a recruiter for a 15 minute phone screen. She asked me a few behavioral interview questions ("when was a time you had to take constructive feedback from a superior", etc). After we talked, she scheduled a second interview with the manager for a few days later.
