Confusing process, feeling something is amiss and isn't reflecting a good impression on the company based on such a poor experience. Interviewed with recruiter, which went exceptionally well. When I closed at end of call and asked for feedback and to find out about next steps and secure, feedback was positive. Recruiter admitted it was early on in the role requistion and doing more interviews. Response sounded open ended and understandable but, since recruiter has not responded and the role is clearly receiving a lot of interest. In my opinion, it is extremely unbecoming of anyone to lead someone as a sitting warm lead or even worse, leave a very qualified great candidate without any updates, insight or progress. To me, if you want the candidate you will keep them in the loop. I came from a time period where you pounded the pavement for the job and made personal connections. This whole ghosting era of the workforce and ai automation, with zero communication is deplorable and should not be accepted. If I am being considered, demonstrate a respect for the process. I do comprehend a large workload could be a factor but it isn't fair to quality candidates to lead them on with no vested interest to place them in the role. I feel the recruiter likely had someone in mind for the Territory or maybe even the hiring manager left no feedback. But, it should have already moved to securing a time for a second interview unless the company has internal delays. The recruiter also seemed to have had a vested personal interest in the territory itself, leaving no opportunity to understand where they were at in process. I think the interview itself went well, so the uprupt cutoff in follow up left the process disorganized and negative thereafter. It's an opportunity for improvement to not let it be so that quality teammates slip through the company by a lack of communication and intention. I firmly believe the direct hiring team, if not delegated through acquisition channels - may have chosen to secure the opportunity had it not been for this unfortunate experience.
