Poor Candidate Experience – Unprofessional and Disappointing I recently went through an extended recruitment process, completing over 4 rounds, including an 3 hour discovery day and in-person final interview. Unfortunately, the experience was both disappointing and unprofessional. Less than 20 minutes after the final interview in person, I received a call informing me I was unsuccessful. I was told I would hear back within 24-48 hours with an outcome. I was traveling at the time and clearly communicated that I couldn’t take the call then. I requested either a callback later in the day or feedback via email. Neither option was honoured or considered. Instead, I was spoken over and told that feedback is not normally provided by email. I was told I would hear back via email & that did not happened. I was ghosted and no feedback was provided. I followed up via email with both the recruiter and my initial contact, expressing my concerns with the abrupt decision and asking for further feedback but again I’ve had no response, even over a week later. The in-person interaction also felt cold and disengaged, which was unexpected after investing time and effort to attend. Overall, the process came across as dismissive and inconsiderate of candidates’ time and circumstances. Job searching is already mentally and emotionally taxing, especially in the current climate. To be treated with such little care or professionalism after multiple rounds of interviews is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I would not recommend applying here. I felt judged and discriminated against as if their mind was already made up as soon as I walked into the room. Highly recommend to avoid and save your time and energy.
