One screening call with a member of the comms team. The questions moved away from the role and into personal background.
I'm sure my experience didn't reflect the organization's public-facing values.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Oceana (Washington, DC) in Apr 2026
Interview
Three rounds of interviews. The first round was with HR through video call for 30 minutes
The next two rounds were in person on site. The second round was a panel interview with a 2-hour writing test. The third round was another panel interview with executives and leadership. In total about 5 hours of interviews plus a test. Long unnecessary process. The last executive asked filtering questions that I wish had been asked at the beginning and I would have beep filtered out then instead of wasting my time. Human Resources was professional in the communication process, they keep you in the loop even when the process was a delayed due to an event.

Interview
The three rounds of interviews were straightforward, timely, and professional. You can tell that they really love what they do, and though I wasn't offered the position, I learned a great deal from the process.
