      Ruby On Rails Developer Interview

      15 Nov 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at OOZOU in Oct 2018

      Interview

My experience interviewing with Oozou was bittersweet. They took forever to get back to me after the interviews and didn't give the feedback for rejection. It started with a skype call with the founder and the CTO. After that I spoke to a couple of devs. This was more technical and involved some screensharing to show my current work / side projects. They sent me a 'take away home' test after that. It involved building a small app and they expected me to complete it in 3-4 hours. They were kind enough to offer me $100 to complete the assignment. Though, I rejected the money since joining the company was enough motivation for me. It took them 2-3 weeks and a couple of emails from my side to get back with a generalised rejection email. No specific feedback was given. When you put so much time and energy in a process, the least you expect is a proper closure and some feedback. They could have been more professional.
