Other Software Engineer interview reviews for Nutrien
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Nutrien in May 2025
Interview
Phone screening with a technical lead, discussed my history and previous jobs and projects in a fairly standard way, no tricky questions just a straight forward get to know you process. Followed by a technical screening that was done over MS Teams where I had to complete an API based project while they watched.

Question 1
How do you approach working with a team of engineers?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nutrien (Loveland, CO) in Jan 2023
Interview
I've applied directly 3 times and always got at least the first interview. 1st interview is always conducted online, with the same 11 questions every time. Some are video responses, and some you type in your answer. You are allowed to redo the answers as many times as you like. The 2nd interview was supposed to be with two Senior Software Engineer Mangers though only one showed up. She basically asked the same question as the first interview just slightly reworded. The final interview is an interview with the "team" which was 3 other software engineers although all the members I met with were on different teams which were a little confusing. Again the questions were very similar to the earlier rounds. Never discussed anything too technical. Interviews went well I thought, but unfortunately, they went with someone else.

Question 1
**Insert standard behavioral/cultural questions" What type/size of projects have you worked on? How do you organize your work? Tell me about a project you're proud of? How do you test your code? What do you know about React? What team sizes have you worked on before? How do you find bugs? Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a team member? Most of these were repeated across the interviews.
