I interviewed for a product research/design role at Novi Connect and completed three rounds, including conversations with two designers, a product manager, and the design manager. It took about two months to complete 3 rounds of the interview process due to delays and slow responses from the design manager. Throughout the process, his communication was inconsistent. He would indicate he was moving me forward, then go silent until I followed up. He also scheduled one of the interviews at a time that directly contradicted the availability I had given him when he asked for it. His communication style and lack of follow-through gave the impression that he didnât respect my time or effort.
After my last interview, I reached out again and didnât receive a response. I followed up with the PM, who kindly let me know she would nudge him and remind him to get back to me as soon as possible. Despite that, I never heard back from anyone.
It is disappointing to go through multiple rounds and be left without closure, especially after being told follow-up was on the way. Consistent and respectful communication is a basic expectation in any interview process, and unfortunately that was lacking here.
