Initial communication was fine, all seemed great. I was excited to be told I would have an interview with the HR manager and CEO. After turning up to interview where I had, what can only be described as a cv sift style chat, I was done in 20 mins. Now I know that could possibly be my fault you could say and I wasn’t suitable but I actually left not wanting the job anyway. The hours were 8:30 to 5:30 with no flexibility - not great as a ‘we want you’ type feeling. There was more interest in the fact I had a young child, hmmm maybe you thought I can’t commit to a role? So I didn’t take the email rejection (yep not even a call) to heart as just 3 days later I had secured a job as PA to CEO of an even bigger and better company! Don’t always judge a book by its cover!
