I applied through other source. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) in Jan 2016
Interview
Repetitive, outdated questions. No advantage to being an internal candidate. Demoralized by hiring of external candidate. Process took abnormally long and ultimately caused a waste of time and delay in major life event plans. While other candidates had several interviews, I had one day of interviews. I spent 5 hours in a conference room and met the hiring committee for 30 minutes each. Interviews were too short and several interviewers were late, shortening the interview even further.
Interview process was as expected and without a hitch. very clear and I got hired. This was 8 years ago. I first applied and then had an interview with the hiring director. From there I had an interview with a panel and finally had to do a presentation
I applied online. I interviewed at Northwestern University
Interview
First round interview with director over Zoom. It felt more like a conversation than an interview- there was a significant amount of back and forth vs. getting drilled with questions.

Interview
2 rounds- Phone & in-person. In-person was longer than a half day, which is long but allowed me to get a sense of the team I'd be working with, and the scope of the organization I'd be working in.

Question 1
Boilerplate questions focused clearly on asking every candidate the same question.
